Have you signed up for Rapid’s Termite Inspection Bootcamp? At Rapid, protecting the livelihoods of our clients is at the heart of everything we do. For pest and building inspectors, one of the most powerful ways to strengthen their business and safeguard their future is through education.
That’s why we run our Termite Inspection Bootcamp, a specialised program designed for qualified timber pest inspectors who want to sharpen their skills, learn from real-world scenarios, and connect with others in the industry.

Shared classroom learning
The bootcamp combines classroom-based learning with practical fieldwork, offering participants the best of both worlds. The morning begins in the classroom, where inspectors dive deep into Australian Standards, consumer law, and real-life case studies from Rapid Solutions’ own claims experience. These sessions go beyond theory. Participants unpack what went wrong (and right) in real-world inspections, learning how to apply those insights to their own reporting and business practices.
Crucially, the classroom becomes a space for peer-to-peer learning. Each inspector brings their own stories and lessons, sparking valuable conversations and new perspectives. Even seasoned professionals find themselves rethinking their approach. As one participant put it, “I’ve been in the industry for decades, but you can never learn too much.”

From theory to practice
The afternoon session of the Termite Inspection Bootcamp will see attendees head out into the field. Inspectors take part in a live site inspection, examining a real property for timber pest activity. Each participant conducts an inspection, prepares a report, and then reconvenes with the group to compare findings.
This process reveals just how much variation exists between reports—and how much inspectors can learn from each other. “As a sole trader, I’m used to doing reports on my own,” said one attendee. “Looking at how others document their findings made me realise there are things I could improve or include in my own reports.”

Termite Inspection Bootcamp learnings can be used straight away
Participants leave the bootcamp with more than just theory. They gain practical, immediately applicable tips and techniques. These include new ways to structure reports, refine communication with clients, and strengthen compliance with standards.
The sessions also highlight the critical connection between sound reporting and insurance protection. By examining common claim scenarios, inspectors gain a clearer understanding of how to avoid costly oversights. “Out in the field, you’re always wondering what could happen from an insurance point of view,” another participant noted. “This course really helped connect those dots.”
Termite Inspection Bootcamp isn’t just about individual improvement—it’s about raising the bar for the entire pest inspection industry. Participants walk away more confident, more compliant, and better equipped to protect both their clients and their businesses.
As one newly trained inspector summed it up:
“I’ve just finished the training and I’m really pumped. I can’t wait to take these insights back to my team and put them into action.”
