Defined/Listed Events Policy is the basic Home and Contents insurance policy which provides cover for certain events that cause loss or damage. Some of the events that are covered under this type of policy are:

• Fire or explosion
• Burglary and theft
• Impact by an aircraft, vehicle, tree or animal/bird
• Accidental breakage of glass
• Lightning or thunderbolt
• Malicious damage
• Storm, water or wind (most policies don’t cover damage from flood)
• Earthquake

Others covers that can be provided under this type of policy are:

• Liability connected with being a home occupier and/or owner
• Valuables covers items such as jewellery, cameras and sporting equipment for accidental damage and loss within Australia
• Workers Compensation for domestic employees
• Accidental Damage Policy
